Kuukunen - Vase
Hand-build small vase. The artist was inspired by childhood mushroom trips with her grandmother to create the shape of vase. The mushroom baskets were filled with various mushrooms, which the child thought were the most fun. The most fun were the round mushrooms (kuukunen) that you could step on and that emitted smoke.
MATERIALS: Black clay with clear glaze (Varnia) inside. The product is not glazed on the outside. The surface has a warm clay feel and patterning.
