Kaarna - Vase
Hand-build small vase. The artist was inspired by the pine trees in her grandmother’s yard, which had huge “shield bark” on the surface. The shape of the vases in this series come from trees and the surface texture from bark.
MATERIALS: Black clay with clear glaze (Varnia) inside. The product is not glazed on the outside. The surface has a warm clay feel and patterning.
